I love to make things! As a proprietor and Creative Director at CabinPress Studio my ideas and creations all begin at 9500', it's where I am truly part of the out-of-doors, and time really does stand still amongst the mountains! Creativity at its finest.

I grew up in Oakland, New Jersey and my memories of this classic, suburban neighborhood were that it had lots of kids, big trees, ice cream, roller-skating, riding bikes and the Ramapo River right nearby. Along with my life obsession to make things for people, the trail from New Jersey, via Yellowstone National Park, lead me to Colorado many years ago. My diverse and fulfilling career with the National Park Service, National Forest Service, Colorado School Districts, Colorado State Parks, and the Colorado Division of Wildlife has prepared me as a freelance graphic designer and developer of presentations; my goal is to create products that are artistic and unique, yet are affordable, effective, and professional for each client.

I received my Masters Degree in Rangeland Ecosystem Science and Natural Resources Management from Colorado State University and formal Graphic Design training from Aims Community College, Graphic Design and Communications program.

When I'm not creating for CabinPress Studio clients you can find me constantly tossing tennis balls for our special Golden Retriever - Moose, making up stories about our cat, knitting, gardening, hiking, listening to music, making stuff, sewing, writing letters, getting mail, daydreaming of owls, being a vegetarian, bird watching, felting, walking, looking at old photographs and pantone color books, visiting fun art shows, picnicking in the park, thinking of the ocean/the sea, reading really good stories, sitting by campfires, thinking of browns and greens and lots of other colors too, sea kayaking the lakes of Colorado, training for a marathon, biking, avoiding traffic jams and driving my car, reading maps, researching everything, and seeing how many pizzelle cookies I can make!

As a Colorado native, with a great appreciation of nature, I am the technical artist at CabinPress Studio. My photographs are inspired by the wide-open spaces and ever-changing light that Colorado has to offer. I am a self-taught photographer who thoroughly enjoys using a camera (I have a few!) as the tool to paint my visions.

For over the past thirty years I have specialized in color & black and white landscapes, panoramic scenes, and wildlife, along with close-up botanical photography. Whether I am shooting landscapes with a 4" x 5" large format field camera, or botanical specimens with my 35mm digital system, much of my time is spent traveling, hiking, backpacking and camping. I am always looking for that memorable photograph that may be used for a CabinPress Studio quality product or a client's project. I am learning how to market our products better so, — order a greeting card set today from our shop!

My residences are split between Fort Collins, Colorado, where I work as a professional firefighter and our CabinPress Studio nestled high in the mountains, perfecting my passion — photography.
